Little Bits of Happiness

  Mrs Stephanie T

The beautiful Mrs. Stephanie T is hosting a new link-up every week called Little Bits of Happiness. She and all of us, want to hear what has made YOU happy this week! So hop on over, link-up and share in the happiness. Couldn't we all use a little more of that anyways?

Here are some little things that made me happy this week... I am so blessed. ♥
These are from my iPhone.. I really need to pick up my big girl camera & stop it.

Girl Scout cookies///Puzzle Concentration = quiet time///Nice weather at the park!///Reading with Pop-Pop///Lunch with some lovely ladies.

Ahh. Happiness.

Please Touch Museum

I mentioned yesterday that I had taken Tuesday off to make my holiday weekend a four-day weekend. YAY! We were lovingly given a gift certificate to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. We had been there one other time last year. Oh look, I found that post HERE from the last time we visited!

I have to say, this time was MUCH easier with the girls. Abbie is 3 and Jaelyn is 4 - perfect ages. They were able to play with everything, touch everything & had a blast. I took all of these with my iPhone because well, sometimes you just need to PLAY & HAVE FUN instead of worrying about snapping every picture possible. Plus, these are perfectly fine pictures to capture a few of our favorite moments!

I took this shot going over the bridge of Philadelphia. Then I played around with it & made it look all funky. I think it's neat!

Abbie sitting on a big goose! She loved the nest and even help build one so her 'baby goose' would be all nice & cozy.

Jaelyn was pumping gas. I tried telling her Jersey Girls don't pump gas but she looked cute enoughd doing it. They also washed this car, beeped the horn, tried out the wipers.. pretty funny.

This was a gigantic magnet wall. There were huge magnets in those red bins that the girls stuck on the wall being creative & making their own little art!

This was so funny! They could put space suits on too but didn't care to, they were looking at themselves on the screen as well which is why they are looking down. Jaelyn get saying.. "Look I'm in space!" haha.

This just makes me laugh. haha!

They loved the carousel ride! :)

We had so much fun! Such a tiring day. I think Mommy & Daddy may have been a little more worn out then they were by the time we got home! So happy they enjoy it though. The smiles on their faces are priceless!! If you are around the Philadelphia area and have little ones, I highly recommend going here! You'll love it!

♥ Happy Valentine's Day! ♥

I know I've been missing lately from this here blog.
Life isn't busy but I don't have a computer to edit pictures & it aggravates me!
So, you will just have to settle for phone pics & be happy with it!

Happy Valentine's Day!
My girls were so happy to go to school today & take their adorable valentine's!

Abbie had heart crayons to give out with a cute little saying: "Happy Valentine's Day, for CRAYON out loud!" hehe. Adorable!

Jaelyn had little pillow containers with goldfish in them & her saying was: "Will you O-FISH-ALLY be my valentine?" love it!

I do hope they have fun! Tonight... the hubs & I are having dinner after bedtime, just the two of us. Hopefully with some wine & nice adult conversation! That rarely happens so that will be a nice treat in itself.

I hope all of you have a lovely day... be sweet!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today my husband turn the big 4-0! Wow, where does the time go? I remember celebrating his 30th birthday with him... we had a big party with friends, family, catered food & a dj! 4 years later he did the same for me.

We have had many ups & downs the past 22 months with welcoming Jaelyn & Abbie into our family. We've endured sleepless nights, changed a ton of diapers, watched countless episodes of Caillou, Barney, The Wiggles & Dora. Thru all of it, my husband has been truly amazing and a wonderful father.

He was never one to just go right up and pick up a baby to hold whether it be his nieces or nephews or a friends newborn. He would quietly watch from the sidelines and witness the joy on my face as I held a little one, longing for one of my own. The night Jaelyn & Abbie came home to us changed all of that. Our 2 little girls have wrapped him right around his finger and it fills my heart to hear him being called "Daddy".

We sang Happy Birthday this morning (well, the version from Sprout anyways). We gave hugs & kisses and wish him a very good day. Tonight we will have a small cake with just the 4 of us and celebrate the best Daddy on earth!

Feel Good Friday

Feel Good Friday is hosted by The Girl Next Door Grows Up.
Please visit her blog to get complete details & joy in the fun!

I have chosen to list 5 things that have made me happy this week. I could probably list more but these have to top the list:

1 - The Philadelphia Phillies are not out of the game yet! They won last night bringing the game back to Philly where they will hopefully clinch the title of the NLCS! Then it's on to the world series, baby! Watching baseball with my husband is actually one of my favorite things to do. We both grew up watching it and someday soon we will be taking our little girls to a game as well. Nothing beats being there in person.

2 - Jaelyn as the Flower Girl in my cousins wedding. She did an excellent job, made me smile several times and even posed for pictures without ANY meltdowns! I am so very proud of her still for being such a good little role model for flower girls everywhere. She completely enjoyed herself too which is a bonus!

3 - I got a teensy bonus in my paycheck. Yes, its small but its there and its all because I worked hard and earned it, what's better than that?

4 - I read an excellent book that I am still thinking about! Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick was the sequel to Hush, Hush which I thoroughly enjoyed so I could not wait to crack open this book and flip the pages. It did not disappoint me. It was gripping and I truly savored every page as I dove further & further into the story of Patch & Nora. Thank you, Becca!

5 - Abbie got 5 gold stars at daycare and is advancing to the 2-year old class. (She won't be 2 until December so yes, I can gloat a little bit ok?!). She is doing well with potty training, which she basically made to do herself following her big sister to the potty so I figured why not and bought the pull-ups. She is recognizing colors, sings her abc's from start to finish and can count to 12! She makes me very proud and brings big smiles.

Just writing this post made me FEEL GOOD, knowing that it is Friday on top of that is even sweeter!! Happy Friday!!
