Some crayon hearts Abbie & I made for her friends at daycare for Valentine's Day.

We finally got a bit of snow. It wasn't much at all but the girls were happy for a bit with it!

I found this in the snow.. it was Abbie's feet but it made the perfect heart!

Coloring & Concentrating!

I love our lazy Sundays... ♥

Last night was girls night out. I had a few glasses of wine.
Can I just tell you how much I love the ladies I went out with.
They have to be one of the best circle of friends!
As one of them said "I'm just in love with all us right now".
Yep, love them!

Wordless(ish) Wednesday

We got more snow here on Saturday and even more last night!

I admit, it does look very pretty on the trees before it melts. Reminds me of a winter wonderland or something you'd see on a Christmas card.

The girls got to go out for a bit on Saturday just to get some much needed energy out.
Jaelyn was teaching Abbie to taste the snow. Oh dear.
I know there is a recipe for snow ice cream... I should look that up, I bet they would love it!!

This is SOOC:

Friday!!!

It's finally here... yippee!!!

My first full week back to work. I'm not gonna lie, it was a little tough. I could get use to those 4-day work weeks! {hurry up with that daycare opening, hubby!}

Yesterday, Abbie came home sick from daycare for a 1/2 day. Hubby was kind enough to go pick her up and stay with her. My Mother-In-Law was a dear & came over to help. Apparently she had a slight fever at daycare and had tummy issues. BUT, she seemed just fine the rest of the afternoon so I think maybe it was something she ate or perhaps her 2-year old molars are finally thru? She was bouncing around in her ball pit and chasing her Sister later in the evening so all is good.

This morning Jaelyn had an 'accident' right after she was dropped off. I'm not sure if she just wet herself or what but again, hubby had to run clean clothes & sneakers to daycare. {which makes me think it was just an accident.} Sometimes she gets to involved in what she is doing and forgets to go potty until the last minute!

All I can say is it's nice & not nice that Hubby is not working right now because I would have had to take off yesterday afternoon and been SUPER late to work this morning! {Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind but I'm sure my employer wouldn't be so happy happy about it.}

It was also snowing this morning and the roads were covered. Sometimes I do believe people forget how to drive when there is less than an inch of snow on the ground moreso than when there is a foot of snow! RIDICULOUS drive to work. {I was 15 minutes late, oops!} I have an SUV so I don't mind the snow so much but I do have to be patient with other drivers. {ahem!}

Yesterday we received some good news. The judge on our case with the girls foster/adoption has decided to do a proof hearing on 1/31 {original court date was 3/1}. YAY! It has been 2 years on 1/29 that the girls were placed with us and apparently he feels that is long enough. Well, about time! I will update you more on this as I find out more. For now, it's a positive thing for which I am thankful for.

What are my weekend plans you ask? Jaelyn has ballet tomorrow - I sure hope she is good & listens because the past few times she's had issues with this! After that, nothing is on the agenda. Maybe it won't be so freezing cold and we can go outside at some point so I can play with my camera more!!

What are your weekend plans??

Happy Friday!!

Snow, Snow, Snow Happy & Happy New Year!

I haven't posted these snow pictures yet, call me a slacker!
We had a pretty nice snow storm last weekend into Monday. Which meant Mommy got a snow day on Monday, yippee!

I was happy the girls were going to experience snow again, last year Jaelyn loved it but Abbie wasn't all to sure only being a year old. AND, I had actually bought snow suits in hopes they would get to use them!

So after naps on Monday, we layered on the clothes and went out to play.

First, Daddy had to plow the snow and a little pathway for us... Abbie just sat in the bay window looking out... waving at him each time he went by. This picture is just precious to me... it's very rare that Abbie is calm, sitting and just watching anything!

I wasn't sure how Abbie would be this time around but she ran right for the snow not caring how deep it was.

Jaelyn of course, wanted to make a snowman, a snow angel, have a snowball fight and everything else... no fear, at all!!

Here she is attempting a snow angel.. haha!

I remember playing in the snow when I was kid. I'm not sure if it was for hours or maybe just 15 minutes but it was fun just the same. I'm glad my girls are getting to enjoy it, too! Snow is usually hit or miss around here. It seems we go a few Winters with little to no snow and then WHAM! we get hit we it more & more.

We are celebrating the New Year tonight over our good friends house. The girls are tagging along in their pj's to play and will probably be out before the ball drops.

Looking back on 2010 there are a few heartaches I could have done without, but they are all a part  of growing & learning, right? I know 2011 will be a better year and perhaps one of the best to be remembered.

I wish all of you happiness, joy, laughter & love... Happy  New Year!

PINT - Christmas, Snow, New Year

Yes, the past 4 days were filled with lots of movie watching, lots of eating everything in the house, lots of looking out the window, lots of hearing "Can we go play in the snow?". I wouldn't trade any of it, memories in the making. But, I am happy to be at work today where it is somewhat quiet.

I'd like to thank Santa Claus for bringing more toys that I have to pick up! Just remember pay backs big man...

I am more than ready to take down the decorations. Yes, they are pretty but I need the room back in order and things where they should be. Blame my OCD!

At least there are only 3 days to work this week... then it's on to drinking a few drinks with friends, watching the girls play quietly on the basement floor of said friends (haha!) and just relaxing for the weekend again.

Here is to 2011!!!

I did manage to capture this adorable moment of the girls watching their Daddy plow the driveway of snow. They would wave everytime he passed the window, which had to be about 100 times!
