Pictureless Wednesday

Happy February 1st!

So aggravated. :(

My laptop is done. Gone. Up to computer heaven.  

With it are some pictures that I had not saved.

Yes, don't go there. I am heartbroken. (this is why you should PRINT pictures!!!)

So, I have no computer to edit some pictures I had on my camera. 

I could use hubbies but it doesn't have my editing software on there and well, did I mention I'm aggravated?

So no pictures on this Wednesday.. just an update...

Jaelyn has had a better week at school. No red hands, woohoo! 

I have started a sticker chart at home as well.

When it's full she gets to pick a prize or go for ice cream.

So far, so good!

She has to get her 2nd flu shot tonight. She probably won't like me much after that. 

The other night it hit me that she is growing up fast. We had a conversation, can't remember about what and she was so mature about it. Certainly not the little toddler anymore that's for sure.

Abbie is doing good, too!

I don't know how this girl gets 3 stars at school for good behavior somedays.

At home - wow. I want to lock her up, tape her to the wall, chain her down. She never stops!

I guess it's good that she is so well behaved at school though, we must be doing something right.

I'm excited to finish both of their Valentine's for their classmates/friends. Perhaps I will just use my iPhone to upload pics for now so you guys don't miss out!

Oh yeah....

I know I've been such a slacker blogging lately. I apologize.

Work has been crazy as you might imagine being in the Insurance industry right now and with all of these natural disasters hitting the East Coast. Yep. Makes for a really fun day. *ahem*.

Jaelyn started Pre-K last week... oh how adorable she looked. What's that? You wanna see her cute outfit? Well, ok.. if I must share them.

I know, super cute right?? She was SUCH a big girl, got on the school bus as I was hyperventilating smiling and was on her merry way. She told me all about her day but she was most happy that she GOT TO RIDE THE BUS! haha.. so cute. ♥

The hubby went away the weekend before school started. That made for an interesting 3 1/2 days. I don't sleep well when he is gone so I tried to keep myself busy so I would be extremely tired at night. It didn't really work. :( BUT, the girls missed him and I missed him so it was sweet to miss each other for a small amount of time.

My niece Gracie spent the night with us one night. I couldn't help but snap a few pictures of her, too. She is a super model in the making, haha. She loves posing and being silly, perfect combination for pictures!!

Can you believe Summer is nearly over? Ahhhhh... where did it go???

I love Fall and Fall colors so I can't say I'm too, too sad but wow, it seems like it was here & go in quite a hurry!

Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of September 11th.

I watched some of the special on tv & nearly cried my eyes out from all the stories, pictures, memories. ♥ I can tell you exactly where I was, how I reacted, who I called on that day... I will never forget.

I get to take some shots of a cute little boy tomorrow... I'm kind of nervous & excited!! Plus, a few more people have asked me to do some pictures of their children.. what?! me? I can tell I'm getting better with my pictures but man, I feel like I still have so much to learn! So, good practice for me!! :)

Random Update & Stuff

Happy Fat Tuesday!

Yeah, we don't really celebrate Mardi Gras too much here in NJ but it really does look like so much fun doesn't it? So to those of you that DO celebrate... have a blast!

Just a little update on what is happening around here:

• We meet with our Social Worker tonight to start our Adoption paperwork.. eeep! Yes, I am still on Cloud 9! It's nice to not have that extra burden to carry around. Now we just pray the process goes smoothly and soon we can have a big celebration welcoming our daughters to their forever family! ♥ (not that we haven't been celebrating them for 2 years & overjoyed they've been in our lives!)
• I lost 12 pounds this week on a new program I started. 12 POUNDS! Are you kidding me? It makes me want to jump up & down, which would be great exercise to keep me going. lol! YAY! {Hubby lost 17 pounds.. so proud of him!}
• I'm excited to receive a new item soon which I will be reviewing for all of you. It's like my first official review. Pretty cool stuff.
• Abbie is almost out of pull-ups completely. *happy dance* She went on the potty all weekend and only had 1 accident! ONE! Oh my little girl is growing up, I can't stand it! Bittersweet - happy to be out of pull-ups but sad that she is becoming more independent! She even goes into the bathroom, stands on the little stool and does it all by herself. *tears!*
• Jaelyn is drawing on her Magna Doodle more & more, which isn't a big deal EXCEPT that she draws "Mommy, Daddy, Jaelyn, Abbie & Kitty" ♥ How cute is that? She actually draws all of us with smiley faces and the kitty with whiskers. Pretty talented for 3!
• Warmer weather is creeping in more & more which makes me so happy. Outside time! I love it!
• I get to order my bridesmaid dress for my BFF's wedding this month (I think!) - how exciting. I am so beyond thrilled for her.
• I am reconnected with some high school friends later in the month. A few of us lost touch but we are meeting at a diner that we all used to hang out with in high school. I cannot believe it's been almost 20 years since we've all been together at the same time. WHAT?!
• The daycare plans are moving right along... I can't wait to see more progress. Hopefully I will get to share it with you.
