Photo Challenge: Beauty

So this super cute friend Angel Perry is hosting a Photo Challenge
with the theme of "Beauty".

{Her rendition of beauty}

The lucky *random.org picked* winner will be receiving
a super cute scarf from her compliments of the lovely Boubo!
AND even more exciting, the winner will have two scarfs
to choose from!!

Well, we all know I have a ton of beauty pics to choose from beings I have 2 very beautiful daughters (not that I'm partial or anything!). But this picture makes me think of beauty every time I look at it. I love the sun reflecting off Jaelyn's face, the serene background with all of the green... well, it's just downright pretty ok!?

So I'm thinking, YOU should hop on over to Angel Perry's blog and link up to this first time photo challenge of hers and spread the love. She is super sweet & super cute so it's hard to resist!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This Sunday I am participating in my first Scavenger Hunt Sunday over at
Ramblings and Photos. Please stop over & link up to join in the fun!

This is me:
{ok, its really crappy but it's me on my laptop which I usually have in front on me on the weekends when the girls are napping!}

Resolutions:
{No, its not to wear more heals or pj bottoms but more to just laugh at the silly stuff more. Stop worrying about toys being everywhere, laundry not done or dishes piling up.. they will get done. Just laugh & enjoy the small moments!}

Treasured:
{I treasure all three of them with all of my heart.)

Innocence:
{I know someday her innocence will be lost but for now, each day she teaches me to see ings thru her eyes & I'm so grateful!)

I am also entering this photo in the I Heart Faces photo contest this week as my "smile" photo.

Primitive:

{this is actually our neighbors barn - but I think it looks pretty & primitive with the snow falling down around it.}

Sunday Snapshots

Ni Hao Y'all

Miss Abbie was dressing up yesterday morning...
oh the get-ups she can come up with!
I really think she was going for the rocker chick look.

{Apparently her band was playing too loudly so she found these stylish mittens to muffle the noise}

{no rocker chick look is complete without guitar silk pj bottoms & heels!}

{here she shows off her style with a princess hat inside out because that is how she rolls!}

{and finally we have the messy fly away hair, crazy pyscho purse, pink princess top with the should straps wore down and a purple mirror to check your look often}

Oh yeah, now she just needs a guitar!

I'm proud of myself so far for keeping up with this! AND.. {SHOCK FACE} I switched my camera to manual & have been trying out some settings with some results I just fell in love with!

Friday!!!

It's finally here... yippee!!!

My first full week back to work. I'm not gonna lie, it was a little tough. I could get use to those 4-day work weeks! {hurry up with that daycare opening, hubby!}

Yesterday, Abbie came home sick from daycare for a 1/2 day. Hubby was kind enough to go pick her up and stay with her. My Mother-In-Law was a dear & came over to help. Apparently she had a slight fever at daycare and had tummy issues. BUT, she seemed just fine the rest of the afternoon so I think maybe it was something she ate or perhaps her 2-year old molars are finally thru? She was bouncing around in her ball pit and chasing her Sister later in the evening so all is good.

This morning Jaelyn had an 'accident' right after she was dropped off. I'm not sure if she just wet herself or what but again, hubby had to run clean clothes & sneakers to daycare. {which makes me think it was just an accident.} Sometimes she gets to involved in what she is doing and forgets to go potty until the last minute!

All I can say is it's nice & not nice that Hubby is not working right now because I would have had to take off yesterday afternoon and been SUPER late to work this morning! {Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind but I'm sure my employer wouldn't be so happy happy about it.}

It was also snowing this morning and the roads were covered. Sometimes I do believe people forget how to drive when there is less than an inch of snow on the ground moreso than when there is a foot of snow! RIDICULOUS drive to work. {I was 15 minutes late, oops!} I have an SUV so I don't mind the snow so much but I do have to be patient with other drivers. {ahem!}

Yesterday we received some good news. The judge on our case with the girls foster/adoption has decided to do a proof hearing on 1/31 {original court date was 3/1}. YAY! It has been 2 years on 1/29 that the girls were placed with us and apparently he feels that is long enough. Well, about time! I will update you more on this as I find out more. For now, it's a positive thing for which I am thankful for.

What are my weekend plans you ask? Jaelyn has ballet tomorrow - I sure hope she is good & listens because the past few times she's had issues with this! After that, nothing is on the agenda. Maybe it won't be so freezing cold and we can go outside at some point so I can play with my camera more!!

What are your weekend plans??

Happy Friday!!

Project 365

Ok, so I finally had a little time to sit down & post my first 6 pictures for my Project 365 which I am joining over at Click it up a Notch.

This is my first time doing a project like this so I will say it now.. I will need LOTS of encouragement to keep going!

I probably won't be posting picture everyday but I certainly love taking pictures and shouldn't have a problem taking some everyday. I will just need to make time to post them for all of you to critique for me! I love contstructive criticsm!!

Click it up a Notch has some great tips, helpful hints and just all around good stuff to better yourself as a photographer! Many thanks for sharing your knowledge, Courtney. Your pictures are beautiful!!

1. Dallas Cowboys
(What is better that football players butts? lol!) I had the great pleasure of attending a Cowboys/Eagles game at Lincoln Financial Field with some of my favorite girls. We had such a good time and I was clicking away!

2. Crayons
So pretty! But see how my focus is in the center of the stack instead of on the end... gotta work on that!

3. Jaelyn
She was just relaxing watching Caillou on her bean bag chair. I love how she is concentrating so hard on such a silly show!

4. Abbie
This one cracks me up! She was playing with a box and I said "ABBIE!" and she jumped up out of the box like this all wide-eyed and full of wonder.

5. Abbie, too!
My little babes hasn't been feeling well - She was home sick with Daddy and just wanted to chill out with her blanket, babies, barney & teddy on the floor.

6. Sisters
Being silly with each other, holding hands. I hope they stay close forever. Nothing is greater than a Sister!!

Ok, there ya go!!
Fingers crossed I keep up with this project!
Maybe I need to go check out some new camera stuff on Amazon to help... hmmm!

There just aren't enough hours...

I know it's Wordless/ish/ful Wednesday all over blog land today but I need a few moments to complain. I seriously need more hours in my day!!

Right now work is a tad-bit crazy, which is good actually because it does make the work day go quite fast and by 4:30, I am ready to hit the door and get out!

After that though, I have NO idea where the time goes. I get home, we do dinner, clean up, give baths and then its bedtime before I blink my eyes! WHAT? I could have sworn I had at leat 4-5 hours after work to do STUFF!

Right now I am cleaning out mode so after the girls go to bed, I'm usually cleaning something out... a room.. a closet... the dryer lint-catcher-thingy (what is the real name of that??). Plus I'm doing laundry, checking the girls book bags, getting things ready for the next day. So my poor little blog has been so neglected! AHH!

I even thought of doing the 365 Project/Challenge - which I have been taking pictures, believe it or not. It's just a matter of getting done the cleaning I want to do and then I will hopefully? maybe? have some spare time to sit down & play!

I've also decided to start a healthy eating/exercise program. Nothing fancy. Just making better choices and part of the whole cleaning thing was making room in the "spare" room so I could actually GET to the treadmill & walk on it.

Ok, so enough rambling... my point in all of this way.. I just need more hours in my day! How about you? How do you manage your time? For all you working Mommy's - do you find it harder to manage time? I'm just curious!

Because I feel I need to add a picture to this Wordish Wednesday post...
