On Tueday it was pretty HOT here! So, we decided to set the sprinkler for the girls in the backyard to cool them off a bit. Plus we were really tiring them out since we had been at the Zoo earlier that day {they were going to sleep GOOD!}.

They had so much fun! We laughed & laughed at them just giggling, running thru the water, trying to drink it. Too funny! Of course I had to capture it all! :)

SO, so happy Summer is here!!

In honor of Memorial Day weekend and all of those who gladly served our country here in the USA, I went with a patriotric theme this week and WOW at all of the things that came up! Wordless{ish} Wednesday --- A trip to the zoo!

It's been SO crazy around here lately - my schedule is beyond full, but I love it!

I had off Monday & Tuesday for my birthday so it was a very nice 4-day weekend.

The Hubby took me shopping in Lancaster, Pa on Monday where I spent most money on stuff for the girls {isn't that how it usually works!}. They needed some Summer clothes though and it's hard to pass up $5 deals in the outlets!

Yesterday, we took the girls to the Cape May County Park & Zoo. It was a lovely day! They enjoyed themselves so much and we enjoyed the smiles on their faces. Abbie claimed her favorite animal was the bears and Jaelyn's was by far the snakes {yes, really! The girl who doesn't like so much as an ant crossing her path fell in love with the snakes!}. 

Zoo animals!! We were so happy the Tiger decided to wake up from his nap & make an appearance... {he was my favorite!}

They were a little too short for the binoculars but they sure tried! and they looked SO cute holding hands just walking along... such big girls! :( Last time we went Abbie wasn't even walking yet! Ohmygoodness!

Let me apologize more for my lack of posts in the near future... we have a ton of things going on so my computer time will be limited! But I promsie to catch up with all of you at the very least!

Well, I don't know about you but I am soooooo ready for summer and flip flop weather! I love me some flip flops! (which also means a pedicure very soon.. woohooo!). As most of you know, our adoption was finalized on Friday, May 13th (yay for Friday the 13th being a GOOD day for once!). It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, our faces were all smiles and everything went smoothly. We weren't really sure what to expect having never been thru this before so everything was new. The 'ceremony' itself only took about 15 minutes but for some reason it felt like we were in there for an hour!

They went thru the legal stuff, then asked each of us to tell what the girls have meant to us for the past 2 years. After some tears, a few deep breaths and some tissues - I finally was able to get out exactly how much they have changed my life. Then of course, there were more tears! Our witnesses and dear friends, Markie & Liz both spoke about each of us as parents and then our social worker also spoke to the judge about us. It was a very heartfelt & emotional day. I was literally drained by the time we got done.

We all went out for a bite to eat afterwards and just enjoyed the rest of the afternoon with each other. I love my family. ♥

This day was truly special and one I will never forget.
