We love playtime! (and Photo Challenges!)

love.. love.. LOVE being outside! Plus, I'm much better at outside pictures than inside pictures right now so YAY for nice weather!

We played outside for a bit tonight when the girls got home. I couldn't resist grabbing the camera to capture all the fun we had! :) And yes, I even played hop scotch as well. Jaelyn almost has the concept of playing but Abbie.. well she just looks cute jumping up & down on the blocks, haha!

Jaelyn loves her toes painted and now Abbie does, too! I love that they can be such girly girls at times. I see Mommy-Daughter pedicures in our future!!

Wordish Wednesday - Easter Edition 2011

Hoppy Easter! Our Easter was somewhat bittersweet. The weekend started on Saturday with a little birthday party for our nephew, Ethan. It's so nice to be around family & friends, I really do love it. A little shout-out to my brother who quit smoking and was nearing a week.. so proud of him! We had yummy food, cupcakes and lots of laughs. Abbie decided to color her arm with a very nice navy blue crayola marker while I was chatting with the girls in another room. THAT was fun! lol! I didn't get a picture myself but I'm sure I can get one as there were about 5 cameras there! I did snap a few pictures but nothing that I liked *sigh* except for these few of Lucy... is she not the most adorable thing ever???

Later that night however, we heard an accident over the scanner & hubby's pager (he's a volunteer firefighter). We learned this was a friend of ours who was struck by a vehicle while taking a walk - tragic accident. She passed away early Sunday morning so Easter was both happy & sad for us. She was a lovely woman of only 37 and a 5th grade teacher. She had 2 boys and touched many, many lives with her beautiful smile. She will be missed dearly. ♥

I didn't really get too many good shots of the girls on Sunday morning. We did video for a change and actually sat on the floor to play with them instead of on the sidelines! Here is a quick shot of their Easter baskets though!

After breakfast and naps and 20 pieces of candy later... we were off to my Sister's house for food, family & fun once again! We had an egg hunt for the kids in the backyard and then yummy stuff prepared by my Sis the Awesome Cook! It was fantastic! The girls were NOT in picture mode though so my pictures are something to be desired, lol. Oh well, they all can't be perfect! They did look cute in their dresses though and had a good time, that's all that matters!!

Happy Friday!!

Yaaaaay it's FRIDAY!! *happy dance*

Even though I'm at work because I have to be am so dedicated. We do get to leave early so I will take it. Then a whirlwind weekend of fun is ON! Not too much planned for tonight except watching the Flyers game (woot!). Tomorrow we have plans to dye some eggs and then celebrate my nephew Ethan's birthday and then after that we may even stop over our friend/neighbors house for a little bonfire & chit chat! On Sunday, we are headed to my Sister's house for an egg hunt, dinner and family time. Not to mention all the yummy, yummy food! Woohoo! I know it may rain tomorrow but let's hope we get ONE nice day out of the weekend.

they let us leave work early tomorrow. It's a bummer we have to work.. the least they could do is let us out a little early!

I need to start a 'yard sale' pile and plan one very soon.

I learned - 4/21/11

I learned: That taking pictures of other peoples kids is much easier than taking pictures of mine.

It was a beautiful day yesterday so I met my Sister at a local park to take a few pictures of her two children (who are adorable!). While she was singing "look up!" "sit up straight!" "don't make THAT face!".. I was busy snapping & giggling at them. But I know if it were my 2, I'd be singing the same song that she was. I did get some really good shots of the two of them.. but THIS shot makes me laugh everytime I look at it! haha! I think he may have been doing it on purpose so his Mommy would pull her hair out? LOL! Still, it's adorable and I'm glad I captured it!!
