Easter: Part 2

We had a lovely time at my Mom & Dad's this year. She actually has a very nice backyard in her little Over 55 community! The kids cooperated with some pictures because they knew soon after they would get some good food & get to find eggs, lol! 

The sun was BRIGHT! We didn't fuss too much, just happy to get them all to stand nicely & smile!

The weather has been GORGEOUS here lately so I've really been getting the 'big girl' camera out instead of just my iPhone and taking some pictures. I will post some later in the week probably.

Easter {2012} - Part 1

Yes, it's my Easter post. Well, the first one. 

Today I will share with you our egg dying fun!

My Mother-In-Law joined us in this fun festivity. Not sure who had more fun, lol!

I put on some "play clothes", pulled the girls hair up and away we went...

Don't they look excited? lol!

There we go! Look at that excited face Jaelyn has! Woohoo!

 

Abbie had more fun turning her fingers blue than the actual eggs themselves. Have you ever tried getting dye off of skin? Yeah, um. Patience is about the only thing that works. Lemon juice is a no go, nail polish remover is a no go, vinegar is a no go. Patience.

Jaelyn did not want the dye on her fingers. She was very neat, clean & professional.

The look on Abbie's face in this one cracks me up. "Yeah so, you dyed an egg & got nothing on your fingers. Give me a break." haha!

Here are most of our end results. We had another crate full but they pretty much looked the same. The girls had a blast, so did Nana so that is all that matters!

Abbie's hands did eventually turn back to flesh color, lol... not so bad.

I love their faces best!

Hello beautiful people! 

I am back! Miss me? I missed you!!

I sort of took a little blog vacation. Things have just been hectic & I had some health stuff going on, still fighting a cold so, my little blog got neglected. But, no more!  

I could go on & on but eh.. let's just keep this the happy place, shall we?

Saturday was a rather nice day, a little cloudy but there was an egg hunt in the little park right behind our house. So, we loaded up in the wagon with baskets & off we went.

The girls had a ton fun! They each got a fair amount of eggs & an entire bag of candy.. yippee!

Can't wait for more Easter fun & activities this weekend!

Jaelyn loves books. I wonder why she gets it from, ha. She will sit & read (well, her version of reading) an entire stack of books and then go back & get more. I do try to read to them every day! And, speaking of books... I volunteered my time tonight at Jaelyn's school to help out with the book fair! Yay! I don't get to do a whole lot since I work during the day so when this popped up, I jumped at the chance. I hope they raise of ton of money.

So lately I've been pondering another tattoo. I never thought I'd want another one but, well.. maybe I do. I want to add to the dragonfly on my foot - I'd like the girls names incorperated somehow. Other than that though, I really think I want a camera tattoo. Something small. Maybe on the inside of my wrist or maybe hidden somewhere. I love picture and I really think my future is in photography but maybe I'm jumping the gun a little. It's just an idea or thought, not like I've made an appointment or anything... yet.

Are you guys tired of hearing about my 4-day weekend? Well, sorry but I have to brag one more time because it's SO GREAT to only have to work 3 days as a result of it. YES! I could get used to this.

I haven't done InstaFriday in a few weeks so I thought I'd join in today.
