As I mentioned before, we had a small celebration with just the 4 of us last night for little Miss Abbie. Her big birthday party is on Sunday with family & friends with a SUPER-DEE-DUPER theme (can you guess what that is!?).

I had made cupcakes for daycare and we saved some to sing Happy Birthday to the new 2 year old after dinner. She wasn't sure at first what to do with the candle, after a few.. NO, don't touch! just blow it out! It's HOT! NO NO! She finally got the idea. But it did give me quite a chuckle!

We all enjoyed yummy cupcakes but I really think the Birthday girl enjoyed hers the most!!

This Momma is so happy the weekend is here!

When I got home last night, Chris had let the girls play for a few minutes in the little tiny bit of snow we got. There was less than an inch on the driveway but they had fun picking it up & dancing around in it. It was rather cute! Then the 4 of us celebrated Abbie's Birthday. We let her open a gift we got her (baby dolls!) and had cupcakes. I took pictures so I will be sure to share them soon. We pretty much all headed to bed early since the night before was quite restless!

Tomorrow is dance class for the little ballerina and then at some point I think we will attempt to put together the Gingerbread house that has been sitting on the table for the past 2 weeks! Perhaps we will wait until after naps for that since I'm sure a lot of candy will be consumed.

Sunday is Abbie's birthday party with family & a few close friends. Wouldn't ya know it, we are suppose to get snow!! Last year on the day of Abbie's party we got about 11 inches? I'm not sure what Sunday has in store for us because I keep hearing different reports but no matter, we will have the party and Abbie will deemed the Snow Princess. lol! I'm sure I will have tons of pictures to share of that as well!

Happy 2nd Birthday My Dear Sweet One!

I can hardly believe you are already 2 years old. I remember the day you were put into my arms like it was yesterday. You were all bundled up because it was SO cold that day and when I unwrapped all the blankets your beautiful blue eyes looked up at me and my heart instantly fluttered.

Since that day you have taught me as much as I have taught you! I never knew what sleep deprived really was until those 2am feedings thinking I was never going to sleep again. Now, you sleep thru the night and wake up the happiest little girl in the world! What a way to brighten anyones morning, especially this not-a-morning-person Mommy.

You have a big heart and a big smile to match. I have loved seeing you change & grow so much over the past 2 years and I am so proud to be your Mommy.

Keep shining my little star!

Believe has truly become one of my favorite words in the past two years. It sums up exactly what Chris & I have been doing since the girls were placed with us on 1/29/09. It has carried me thru some pretty rough times.
