Leaves, Leaves, Leaves

It finally stopped raining yesterday so when the girls got home from daycare we decided to help Daddy out with raking leaves. Well, if helping is making a big pile, jumping in them and throwing them up in the air. Because that's exactly what the girls did and they laughed and giggled and laughed so much!

Jaelyn did make an effort to try to rake a little even though the rake was bigger than she was. It was still cute, though! She wasn't into throwing up the leaves and letting them fall into her hair as much as Abbie. When or how did she become so prissy??!

Abbie could care less about the dirt or whatever else was in the leaves she laughed so hard when they fell on her she couldn't stand up!

The moment was too adorable not to capture! Here are some collages I made from the 900 (ok, maybe that is exaggerating) I managed to snap!

Five Question Friday

Rules for 5QF: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then watch for the linky post to appear Friday morning and LINK UP!! Oh, yeah...and most importantly...HAVE FUN!!

Questions for Friday, November 5th: (Special thanks to Sandy, Bethany, Susan, Julianne(and Sugarkanke and some others, too!!) and Pam for their question suggestions! If YOU want to be linked in a future 5QF, c'mon over to my community and offer up some of your best question suggestions! You know you want to...) ;)

1. If you could have any talent and turn it into an occupation, what would it be?
Does a professional shopper count? I mean you do have to have some talent to shop, right? You have to have the ability to look for the best deals, get the before the crowds, pick the right shopping cart (I always get the one with the odd wheel, how does that happen?). I know there is such an occupation as professional shopper but that sounds too much like a job. I want to be able to buy the things I want, not from some list. Oh and I'd like to have a money tree from which I can pick money off daily to use for my shopping extravaganzas.

2. Would you rather have a house at the beach or a cabin in the woods?
BEACH! Although the peaceful, quiet, serenity of the woods sounds nice too. But, I'd still pick the beach. I love going there, I love the sounds, the smells, the water! Plus, I really wouldn't be too far from 'home' since I am only about an hour away now!

3. Is there any meaning or reasoning for the names you chose for your child/children?
Considering I didn't choose them, no. But I can't imagine them being anyone but Jaelyn & Abbie. ♥

4. What is your guilty pleasure? (I know we've done this one before, but I'm guessing people's "guilty pleasures" change frequently. At least, mine do!)
Coloring. Yes, coloring! Give me some crayons, a coloring book and I will sit for hours staying within the lines, picking the perfect colors to complete my masterpiece. I have colored with the girls a few times and although Jaelyn is getting better & better at becoming quite the little artist, her baby Sister completely ruins the experience, lol! She will run off with our crayons or books. Step on the pages. Scribbles on what we are colors to the point where I usually say OK, FORGET IT! Hopefully in time she will have the patience to sit with us, until then... Jaelyn & I will sneak off and color in peace. :)

5. Do you live in a house that is deep cleaned or straightened?
Is it possible to have both? For the most part my house is 'straightened'. But there are times when I get on deep clean kicks and shampoo carpets, wash walls/windows, take down the curtains & clean out cabinets. Those moments are far in between sometimes but they do happen! I have the used magic eraser to prove it.

Your Three Words

Please stop over, link up & share your three words!

My three words are:
Mommy's Night Out

Yes! Tonight I get to go to Basket/Bag Bingo with my dear Sister-In-Law, Noel. I can't wait! This isn't regular old Bingo either. Instead of winning money (which would be ok, too!) you win either Vera Bradley Bags or Longaberger Baskets. OH YES! Right down my alley, thank you very much! Besides that, I enjoy the company, a night out and being hecklers when someone else wins, ha!
WISH ME LUCK!!

Toddler Talk Thursdays

Welcome to the 14th week of Toddler Talk Thursday!

Toddler Talk Thursday was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other bloggers of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!

Each week the hosts will travel around to each blog that links up, and pick an idea, story, or picture they think was a great example of that weeks topic. In order to qualify for this you need to blog about this week's topic, and follow the hosts. Comments letting us know you are participating are always great too. If we choose your blog, we will link back to your post the following week.

This week’s topic is : What's in your bag?

I carried a Vera Bradley Diaper Bag for the longest time. It was big, had pockets & it matched my pocketbook & wallet! Inside the bag I usually had:

* Diapers (well, duh!)
* Wipes
* Balmex/Vaseline/Sunscreen/Powder (sometimes all, sometimes just one)
* Extra set of clothes for each Princess
* Sippy Cups
* Snacks (which varied anywhere from raisins to oreos to cheerios)
* Sunglasses (for me & the girls)
* Spoons/Forks (in a neat little plastic case)
* Bibs
* Keys, Wallet, Receipts, Crumbs, Old Wipes & well,  you get the idea

Nowadays since Jaelyn is potty-trained & Abbie is well on her way to no more diapers, I usually take a much smaller bag with a few pull ups & wipes in it. The girls usually carry out their sippy cups and depending on where we are going & for how long, I may stick a pair of pj's for each in the bag! It's funny how you require less & less 'stuff' as they get older. It certainly gets a little easier in that department!

Next weeks topic will be:
Share your 4 favorite pictures of your toddler!

Mommy and Me Mondays

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
Hosted by Krystyn

This is a cute idea that I just couldn't pass up! Too often as Mommy's, we forget to actually GET IN on the adorable pictures we snap. So over at Really, Are You Serious? started Mommy and Me Mondays just so our kids can have pictures too look back on where we are actually in the picture with them!

Please take a minute to head on over to Really, Are You Serious to link up & read the rules.

Hope to see your smiling faces!

This is a picture of Me with my youngest, Abbie. We were on the hayride headed to the pumpkin patch. Her Sister refused to sit with us for a picture so this is the result. Abbie was being quite the dare devil on this hayride, not wanting to sit down and walking around like she was the hostess on an airplane. She is definitely my social butterfly!

Your Three Words

Flu Shots Tonight.
That's my 3 words.
And here is how I imagine it going...

Happy Halloween!

The girls had quite a blast trick or treating last night with their cousins. We made a quick stop at Nana's & our best friends house, then headed over to my Sister's where the fun began! But not before I took a few quick shots on the front porch....

Even though today is October 31st - our town has the festivities the night before. So, today is resting from the sugar high, watching some Disney movies (already watch Aristocats!), catching up on laundry (Jaelyn helps fold socks.. woohoo!), maybe a little playing outside and just relaxing to start another week. Tomorrow the girls get flu shots... NOT looking forward to that one!

Have a great Sunday!!
