InstaFriday

life rearranged

It's been a somewhat crazy busy week. The hubby is off doing his hunting thing so I'm pretty much left to do the morning & evening routines alone. Wine was my friend, lol! It's finally a little cooler here today... Brrr! I don't mind it though. It was rather harder getting into the Christmas spirit in 60 & 70 degree weather!

TGIF!!

Clockwise: Silly Abby, GOOD GRIEF!, Brrrr a very chilly Jaelyn, Yummy Lunch!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
I love our Hallmark Ornament - Forever Family. ♥ Perfect!!

Clockwise:  Trophies for Gymnastics! My pretty poinsietta that an Elf left on my desk at work, Shelly our crazy Elf at home hanging upside down, I told you wine was my friend. Cheap wine.. plastic wine cup..  yep.

I made cookies. Okay so really I only added butter & eggs but hey... I had to monitor the oven to be sure they didn't burn so yeah.. I MADE COOKIES, dammit.

Devyn & Laurie

My beautiful friend, Gina asked me if I'd like to come take pictures of her 2 little gorgeous girls a while back. I was so honored... I love to be noticed because of my pictures! So naturally I was thrilled.

Sunday afternoon I headed over to their home to be greeted at the door by Devyn in her ADORABLE tutu (handmade by her Momma!). Now, I have to tell you... right before I go to take pictures, I get so nervous. Usually the night before I check my camera, charge the batteries, clear a few memory cards and try to run down a list of pictures & ideas. The day of, I do that all over again. Really, I must drive my husband crazy, lol! Seeing Devyn's sweet face at the door though, really calmed my nerves!

She was so anxious to show me her Christmas tree and her "elf" that found his way in the tree, her Mickey Mouse, her baby sister and she couldn't wait to see what I had in my bag of 'props' I brought with me. Laurie was all smiles as well and my goodness, those tutu's... I loved them!!

Without further ado... here is my fun filled hour or so with 2 little cutie pies.

Is there any reason to be THIS adorable???

I could just eat her up... and I did nibble on her little cute feet a
 little later. Just couldn't resist!!!

Oh Devyn, you make me smile so big.

Afterwards, Devyn was so so happy to get a cookie and boy did she deserve it!
She was great and I hope I get to take many, many more pictures of her.

I love me some baby feet!

You better watch out.. you better not cry...

Thank you, Gina for being such an awesome friend (especially this week!) and for asking me to take pictures of your little sweethearts. I had so much with them!

Abbie-cember #3

These pictures are just an assortment of my favorites. Your cute face, your adorable personality showing through. Somedays you really drive me crazy, you know that? You are NON-STOP from the time you get up until the time you go down. I'm not sure where you get the energy sometimes and I sure wish I could bottle it up!

It's amazing the differences between you & your sister. You are starting to look alike more and more but couldn't be more different!

You both fill my heart up so much, especially on my worst days.

A little (or maybe big?) rant.

I never rant on this blog. It's my happy place. I mostly use it to show off the fun stuff happening with my family, my daughters, my lovely friends. I try not to bitch & complain because well, I'm actually a pretty happy person. But hey, I do have my moments.. I mean, I AM human.

So, if you wish to click out now before this rant continues... that is quite alright with me. If you'd like to see a side of me similiar to when Reese Witherspoon DECKS her almost Mother In Law in the movie Sweet Home Alabama, then read on.  :) (and no, this is not about my Mother In Law... she's a sweetheart. ♥).

I like to take pictures. It's fun, it makes me smile and bring out a creative side of me. I am by no means a professional photographer. I do not advertise nor go door to door asking for business. Friends and friends of friends sometimes read this blog & see my pictures on Facebook and think 'Hey, she takes nice pictures! I think I will ask her to take some for me' and then we talk & I set up a date with them and well, I take pictures! I learn through a lot of blog friends on how to better myself when taking pictures, I read tips & tricks, I practice editing when time allows. I really do love it!

Recently, a dear friend of mine asked me to take pictures for her. I was ecstatic! She has adorable children and of course I said yes immediately. We set it all up and I went over, took the pictures, played, had a glass of wine, chit chatted and had a wonderful time. SO MUCH FUN! I will post those pictures later...

Anyhow, dear friend had posted on Facebook that morning that I was coming to take pictures for her. YIPPEE! *proud moment for me*. After said post appeared, another 'friend' on my facebook & hers who is trying to start a 'photography business' text her to see if SHE could take pictures.

Hold the phone. What?

Who does that?

As I said before, I am not a professional. HOWEVER, THAT is one of THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE moments in my photography career. That would be like me contacting everyone she has taken photos of and asking them if I could take pictures as well.

Not only that, she puts my friend on the spot because really, what do you say to that? (She is marrying into the family so it's a tough spot to be in!).

THEN she posts the pictures she took on facebook. Pretty much comparing or throwing it in my face comparing the pictures.

I'm sorry. You are an ignorant, spoiled, fruitcake is what you are!

First of all, deary... where are your manners?
Second of all, deary... if you would have asked to come along with me so we could BOTH take pictures, learn from each other, share ideas this wouldn't be so sucky.
Third of all, deary... IT'S RUDE.

If you are THAT desperate to ruin a friendship, hurt feelings, to show-off that you can take pictures, I pretty much want no parts of you. So take your little camera, your little photography business and stuff it.

While you are at it, learn some manners.

If you made it to the end of this post, thank you for reading my rant. ♥ I could say a lot more but unlike the above person described, I have class.

Hey.. Happy Wednesday!

Wordish Wednesday: The Peppermint Twist

The girls had their very first gymnastics 'show' on Saturday - The Peppermint Twist!
The looked so cute in their little red outfits. I am so happy that they enjoy it so much! Plus, it helps get some of that energy out. They took very good naps after the show!

The lighting in the gym is AWFUL. BLAH! But I still managed some pictures....
