Friday

Friday! Yay!
Today is just a rambling post of the latest things...

Holy Fall Weather, Batman! The temperature has dropped dramatically. It actually feels like Fall! I love it! Don't get me wrong, I love Summer but Fall is probably a very, very close second. The crisp air, the changing leaves, pumpkins, layering clothes, cute boots... all of it! I'm ready for some mums on the front porch and some cute fall decorations around the house. Bring it on!

Tomorrow I am off to NYC! A bunch of girls and the soon to be bride are going to the Awesome 80s Prom.  I'm excited! We get to dress up like 80s chicks, how fun?! I'm sure it will be a blast and I just have to take my camera. I don't want to miss out on some pretty awesome pictures, like OMG, fer shuuuure. haha. However, first we have gymnastics in the morning. We've decided to give gymnastics a go instead of dance this year. Mostly because Daddy wanted to let them try it and because its 5 minutes down the road from us instead of across the county. Both girls seem to enjoy it so far! Abbie's class is actually a Mom & Tot class.. so I get to run around with her for 45 minutes. (whew!) I love it though, it makes both of us laugh & smile.

Sunday (after the massive hangover I will probably have?) I have a bridal shower to attend for another friend. That should be fun. I hope they have tylenol at the door. lol! Some of the same girls from the bachelorette party will be at the bridal shower so we will pretty much all be in the same boat. But, it should be enjoyable and I'm happy to celebrate yet another bride-to-be!

I also ordered Halloween costumes yesterday... eeeek, I can't wait! Well, I ordered one.. my Sister has the 'pair' for Jaelyn that will go with what I ordered for Abbie. They are going to look ADORABLE! I can't wait to show you! Is it crazy that I'm already excited about it? haha!

Also coming up this week... our 14 year anniversary is on Tuesday. 14 years? What! I have no idea how that happened. Well, I know how it happened but I mean really, 14 years!? ♥ Go us!

So, what is happening in YOUR world?

Turnbow Designs : A Review & Giveaway!

I stumbled across this cute little etsy shop while I was browsing one day.
I'm not sure who was more excited, me or my girls looking at all the cute stuff!

Turnbow Designs is owned by Paige Turnbow.  Here is a little bit about Paige:

The youngest of three girls, I was born into a crafty home. My father built Pipe Organs for a living and did woodworking. My mother was a wonderful cook, sewer, and painter. I started making scrapbooks at age 12 and have fallen in love with every kind of craft I've tried.

I married the man of my dreams and I have the opportunity to stay at home with a beautiful little girl during the days. I love to craft during nap times and at night. Most things in my house are handmade and I've never made anything I wouldn't put in my own home.

After quilting blankets for everyone in my family, and having scrapbooked my life and others; I decided to share my talents with others. Therefore, we now have Turnbow Designs.

Here are some of the really cute things in Turnbow Designs shop on Etsy:

This personalized baby gift set is perfect for any gift or baby shower. This set includes 3 items of your choice in any arrangement (bib or burp cloth). These ultra soft burp cloths and bibs are the perfect size (approximately 9.5" x 14.5") to clean up all those little and big messes. All sets come with free name embroidery with your choice of font.

This bright crown is perfect for a little birthday boy, or everyday dress-up. The crown is made from eco-friendly felt and is machine stitched for extra durability. The crown is embellished with ribbon and jewels.

The crown measures 21.5" long and is 6" tall. The closure for the crown is adjustable (with velcro) to fit any child's head

This hand painted letter with wood name is a great addition to any room. Put it on a book shelf or hang it on a wall. This would make a wonderful shower gift, house warming, or birthday gift. Combine letters to spell out a name, initials, or anything you want. All uppercase letters are available A-Z.

Paige was also kind enough to send me a Crayon, Colored Pencil & Paper Wallet to review for her. How SWEET?

This wallet is simply adorable. The colors are SO bright and colorful, it was an instant hit with both of my girls. It is made very well, durable and with lots of love! The velcro opening is easy for the little ones to access all of the goodies on the inside.

The pockets for both the crayons & colored pencils are great! Each coloring utensil has a spot to go back in. So, if you are a bit OCD like me, this is a big plus! My girls loved pulling them out, putting them back in their spot and keeping everything nice & tidy for the next time.

The paper included is sure to go quickly once your toddler starts coloring his/her heart out when you go place but don't fret! It's easy to replace with a new paper pad! :)

This is also great for those of you having little ones starting Pre-K or Kindergarten... what a great time to practice tracing those letters! It's fun and they are learning at the same time... woohoo!

My girls were more than happy to grab this & go... they loved the fact that it was like a little 'pocketbook' for them to take along on trips. The handle was convenient for them to carry or put on their little arms. Just perfect!

I would HIGHLY recommend this product for little ones on the go. It's great for trips to a restaurant with the family to keep busy, send it with them to Grandma's for some fun or just sit down after dinner & play!

I give this 5 out of 5 stars!

Thank you, Paige for sending us this awesome wallet!
We LOVE it!

Oh yeah....

I know I've been such a slacker blogging lately. I apologize.

Work has been crazy as you might imagine being in the Insurance industry right now and with all of these natural disasters hitting the East Coast. Yep. Makes for a really fun day. *ahem*.

Jaelyn started Pre-K last week... oh how adorable she looked. What's that? You wanna see her cute outfit? Well, ok.. if I must share them.

I know, super cute right?? She was SUCH a big girl, got on the school bus as I was hyperventilating smiling and was on her merry way. She told me all about her day but she was most happy that she GOT TO RIDE THE BUS! haha.. so cute. ♥

The hubby went away the weekend before school started. That made for an interesting 3 1/2 days. I don't sleep well when he is gone so I tried to keep myself busy so I would be extremely tired at night. It didn't really work. :( BUT, the girls missed him and I missed him so it was sweet to miss each other for a small amount of time.

My niece Gracie spent the night with us one night. I couldn't help but snap a few pictures of her, too. She is a super model in the making, haha. She loves posing and being silly, perfect combination for pictures!!

Can you believe Summer is nearly over? Ahhhhh... where did it go???
I love Fall and Fall colors so I can't say I'm too, too sad but wow, it seems like it was here & go in quite a hurry!

Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of September 11th.
I watched some of the special on tv & nearly cried my eyes out from all the stories, pictures, memories. ♥ I can tell you exactly where I was, how I reacted, who I called on that day... I will never forget.
God Bless America.

I get to take some shots of a cute little boy tomorrow... I'm kind of nervous & excited!! Plus, a few more people have asked me to do some pictures of their children.. what?! me? I can tell I'm getting better with my pictures but man, I feel like I still have so much to learn! So, good practice for me!! :)

Well, that is the latest & greatest around here.
I have a pretty cute review to post soon, took a few pictures of it tonight so stay tuned!

How are things in your world?
