New Year… New Blog Post?

Wow, my poor little forgotten blog…

I REALLY should make time to come in here & update! I loved my blog at one time, it was a great way to document things.. no promises, but I shall try.

How is the New Year you ask? Good, so far! Winter is a pretty quiet time around here, which I am very grateful for. I sometimes miss having NOTHING to do on a Saturday.

We did venture out for a little today to do some bowling for the girls School but then it was back home to chillax. There are probably at least 50 things I could make a list of what I could do but… meh.

For now, here are my cuties and a promise of trying to at least some key moments in our lives this year.

Happy 2014!

Wonderful Wednesday

It's been a while since I've participated in a Wordish/less Wednesday.. my goodness! But what fun it is... you get to travel around blog world checking out pictures. Some choose to be wordless, some choose to be wordy. I think I'm in the middle somewhere.

On Sunday, I had fun with a couple of little cuties on a farm! Little Sienna is turning one and the sweetest little thing ever. Her cousin, Anthony is 6 months and a handsome dude! The weather was beautiful and the darlings were in good spirits so I was able to capture some awesome moments.

Here are a few...

Now, go check out some other wonderful bloggers & show them some LOVE!

Pink Guitar

Our youngest, little Miss Abbie is quite the free spirit! I'm convinced music is in her blood but who knows if that will lead anywhere, I mean she is only 4.

I couldn't help but want to capture her with her first guitar though.. just in case!!

Why.. Hellllloooooo!!!

How are all of you in blog land?? I've missed youuuuu!!!

Life has been busy as usual. I'm still wondering when I became the Mom of a 4 and 5 year old. WHAT? ha! They sure do keep me going and I love it! :)

My photography has evolved a bit... I'm still wondering how that happened too! It's so nice to be recognized and have people wanting me to capture their memories. Who knew when I bought my camera that I would enjoy it so much?

We had a rough start to the new year, losing Nana, my Mother-in-Law and just an all around wonderful woman. Those who follow me on Instagram & Facebook more than likely saw how very heartbroken we all were, and still are. She was such a special lady and is dearly missed every single day.

We will more than likely be moving before Fall into a "new to us" house. There are still decisions to be made and some tweaking but I'm excited. The daycare might ACTUALLY be finished (I won't say too much so it is not jinxed!).

Other than that, life is pretty normal... the girls are starting SOCCER next month & I can hardly wait! I'm sure I will take lots of pictures.. and maybe even post some!

That's all for now.. just a quick update!
Love to you all!

and just because every post should have a picture... here is one of the little cutie I had the pleasure of shooting this morning. Isn't he a doll??

Gingerbread Sweetness

I should be ashamed that I haven't been here since Summer... but well, life happens. Sometimes you need a break and that's just how it goes. I missed this place! But, I can't make any promises I will be a regular visitor again so just bare with me.

In the meantime... here are some pretty sweet picture to enjoy! I had a bit of fun with my girls this morning! They are growing up way to fast and this holiday season has been lots of fun already! Can't wait for more!!

Happy 5th Birthday, Jaelyn!

Though you are growing up fast, I still think of you as the little girl I instantly fell in love with who came to us, scared, wide-eyed and dazed. You were only 15 months old actually. I'm sure you couldn't wrap your head around exactly what was going on and who all these strange people were surrounding you. You quickly adjusted however, and have long since accepted all of the love, caring & understanding you get from everyone who meets you.

5! You will be entering Kindergarten shortly there after and attending for an entire day of school. I have no doubt you will love school as you are always asking the how's, why's and when's. You are a little sponge ready to soak up as much information as you can.

In the past year, you have grown right before my eyes, maturing more with each day. You brought up the word adoption to me, much to my delightful surprise. You were laying on the couch with me, your sister already in bed and your mind must have been in overdrive as you looked at me and simply asked "Mommy, what does the word adoption mean?" After my initial shock & gasp, I thought to myself.. "Ok, I guess we are having this discussion now then." I always feared exactly how I would approach that topic with you so thank you sweetheart, for making it easy for me. I explained it to you the best way I knew how. Not only were you ok with it, after telling you how special you were because you were adopted you said "That is just so cool!". Again, thank you. Now when asked how we became your Mommy & Daddy you are very proud to say "I was adopted, isn't that cool!?" and I beam. Your curiosity on the subject has even made you ask about a few babies you've seen.. "Do you think they were adopted, too?" I can tell you will share this with your sister when it comes time for her to understand it and you will help to make her see just how very cool it is.

There are times I look at you and think,  when in the world did she grow up? You are such a beautiful girl with a smile that can light up the room. When you giggle and laugh at even the silliest things, my world is brighter.

I love you very much!
