Wordish Wednesday - Believe

Believe has truly become one of my favorite words in the past two years. It sums up exactly what Chris & I have been doing since the girls were placed with us on 1/29/09. It has carried me thru some pretty rough times.

This week my photos are dedicated to just that one simple word.... Believe.

Last Week's Fact or Fiction:
~ I'd love a Kindle for Christmas.
~ I spent $500 each on my Girls for Christmas!
~ My Hubby & I have "stocking wars" with each other.

Well, did you guess it?? My lie was the the 2nd one - I did not spend $500 each on both my Girls for Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to! But we didn't go quite that crazy. Maybe we'll save the bigger spending for when they are older and want all those big electronic type things? oy!

I would love a Kindle - yes I love books, I love opening them, the smell of them, reading the words on paper BUT I'd also love something that will hold more than one if I happen to take a trip (because that happens often right now, ha!). I really just think they are neat and HELLO at getting a book instantly! Yes, please!!

My Hubby & I do have stocking wars. This has been going on ever since I remember. We try to stuff each others stocking with the best, oddest, cutest, weird, pretty darn nifty things we can find for each other. I quite enjoy it!

OK... on to this weeks.. can you guess the 2 truths & my lie?? Hmmmm...

I hate getting gas in my car.
Laundry is my favorite chore!
I'm a pretty darn good baker when I try.

GOOD LUCK! Make sure you check back next week to see if you are right!

Wordish Wednesday

It's been a bit of a crazy week here. Yes, I realize it's only Wednesday...

My Husband is an avid hunter and this week is the big "shot gun" week. Meaning he hunts with the club he belongs to all week, in the cold, walking thru local wooded areas, to bring home the meat. (Sorry to all of you animal lovers - don't hate!).

So because of this hobby, I am left with doing Mommy & Daddy duties. Which is tiring and it might make me appreciate the things he does a bit more... but just a bit.

Getting up in the morning to get myself ready, 2 little girls ready, take them to daycare and be to work by 8:45 is not so easy when I don't have that extra pair of hands helping out! But we have managed thus far so I'm sure the rest of the week will go just well. *fingers crossed*

By the end of the day, I am more than happy to give baths so we all can lay on the couch for a bit before bedtime. I think my 2 little girls are part fish!

After baths we watch the show of choice (Barney), the girls sip on some milk, we snuggle under the blankets and they are more than happy to go to bed at the end of the show. It's blissful!

I've been enjoying a cup of coffee & muffin after the house is quiet. I finished up my Christmas cards last night, organize the Christmas gifts one night (organized, not wrapped!) and maybe tonight I will get the laundry done... all in all.. it hasn't been so bad but I will sure be happy when things are back to "normal"!

Sunday Citar -- Little Decorators

I took the time yesterday during nap time to put up the Christmas tree and get most of it decorated. I saved a few ornaments for my little elves since I knew it was inevitable that they would want to decorate themselves. They didn't do a bad job and the smiles on their faces made me realize that I don't really care where they put the ornaments or how many times they take them off, pile them up like a collection and then put them back on. They are here with us for another Christmas, they are healthy, they are happy, they are BEAUTIFUL and it fills my heart up.

"The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other."
