It's wedding week around here. In case you missed it (which, I'm not sure how unless you've been under that rock over there..) my best friend is getting married on Wednesday. THIS Wednesday. WHOAH!
So, in honor of her and her fiance, my blog this week will be all about weddings, romance, mushy, lovey-dovey stuff. Yep, get used to it!
I remember the night she called me to tell me she was engaged. I was literally jumping up & down on the phone with her.. crying, yelling, screaming & telling her how very happy for her I was. She waited a long time for this and I was so happy it finally happened. I could 'hear' her smile on the phone and couldn't wait to give her a big hug and let's face it.. to see the BLING BLING! He did good. Of course, I think he could have given her a ring out of a Kracker Jack box and she would have gladly accepted it. Oh, love.
But.. look at this shiner. Isn't it pretty? ;)
After the engagement announcement, plans quickly came together.
She asked me to be in the wedding. I squealed with delight!!
I couldn't wait to help her on her big day.
Picking out things, giving my advice, sharing in her joy.
When she told me about where they were getting married... I was floored!
YANKEE STADIUM!!!
Yes, that's right.. Yankee Stadium. They are both Yankee's fans (I know, but there is no changing that so we'll just let that slide)..
so, they made plans & booked it. WHAT!? Crazy right?
But how fun? How memorable? Not to mention, what an awesome photo op!
Needless to say, it is not an ordinary, everyday venue to get married in so when telling people, it's so fun to see the reaction on their faces. I can only imagine the faces these two have seen, makes me giggle!
And then.. the shopping trip for THE dress came.
